Bio

Bea Arthur, LMHC is a Columbia University-trained psychotherapist, entrepreneur, and author whose career took off at the  intersection of psychology and technology. Her startups Pretty Padded Room (featured on Shark Tank) and The Difference were pioneers of the e-therapy movement as two of the earliest startups to deliver mental healthcare online. They were called the “life-changing” by BuzzFeed, the “Future of Therapy” by MTV, and “innovative and inspiring” by the American Counseling Association.

Additionally, Bea was the first African-American female founder accepted to the prestigious Y Combinator accelerator, was named an Entrepreneur to Bet On by Newsweek Magazine, as well as one of Bumble’s 100 Most Inspirational New Yorkers. She has been an editorial contributor and host for Forbes Women, hosted her own podcast for Sonos called Bea The Change, and now, she prepares to launch her debut book, The White Man Within, about the lessons she learned during her time in Silicon Valley.
